with no pastor. And that has been by design. The membership
has included pastors, and lay people and pastors
have shared leadership on council and committees. But
there has never been one individual pastor who led the
congregation. Preaching and worhip leadership have always
been shared by all members.

it has been realized that we really do need someone
who can help us organize and do ministry more effectively.
the congregation set out to find someone who would be
called Facilitator of Congregational Ministries. Or
Ministries and Support Facilitator, depending upon which
part of the posted Job Description you look at.
much praying and hunting and waiting, we are pleased
to announce that Graham Hutchins, a retired Methodist
pastor, has come to us from the United States of America
to fill that role. He is accompanied by his wife Dory.
service of installation was held on Sunday, 13 November.
And in the pictures at the right, you can see that it
was a festive day! We were especially pleased that Rev.
Kimirei of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania
could be with us to do the installation on behalf of
the right hand column, along with pictures of our musicians
(thank you, thank you!), you can see John Kraft, who
led the service, Sr. Sheila Devane who read the lessons,
Dr. Mark Jacobson who preached, and Revs. Kimirei and
of course Dory and Graham above.
